She has always let
her work speak.
Before she created costumes, Žaklina lived and breathed dance. That experience gave her an understanding of the body, of movement and of the quiet confidence it takes to step onto a stage.
For over three decades, she has transformed that love into original creations. Her costumes have accompanied dancers onto major competition floors and through title-winning performances, becoming a distinctive presence in the region’s dance scene.

On stage, appearance is only the beginning. What matters is how a costume follows the body, responds to movement and gives its wearer the freedom to perform.
Žaklina’s signature lies in that balance: a striking idea, thoughtful construction and care in every detail. A costume should fit naturally, feel comfortable and inspire confidence, allowing the performer to give their full attention to the performance.
Even the most demanding ideas are developed patiently in the atelier, from the first sketch to the final fitting. The aim is a creation in which the wearer feels entirely themselves.
TRUST BUILT OVER THE YEARS
Her work has always
spoken before she did.
Her path in television costume began with a collaboration with Mira Čohadžić on costumes for the Grand ballet ensemble, followed by many years as the principal costume designer at Grand Production.
She has collaborated with major stars from Serbia and the region, including Lepa Brena, Jelena Karleuša and many others. Her creations have been made for concerts, television, theatre and special stage productions — through lasting collaborations and trust passed on by word of mouth.
Her atelier’s work has connected her with collaborators in America, Austria, England, Russia, China and Hong Kong, as well as across the region. Without seeking the spotlight, her signature can be found on stages in Serbia and beyond.

Today, Žaklina’s daughters are also helping to develop the atelier: Marija, who is studying costume at the Faculty of Applied Arts, and Sara, an economics graduate. Each brings her own knowledge and perspective to a story built on work, trust and a love of making.
